In July 2026 I went back for the northern half of the JMT — partly to see old favorites again, and partly to visit places I had missed the first time. The highlight was the side trip to Ediza and Iceberg Lakes, right under the Minarets: teal water, lingering snow, and a storm that cleared into golden light.
